What excites me about this trip:
First, I love London! I love the delicious and diverse food offerings, the top-quality musicals, and the convenient public transportation to world-class museums, historic sites, Evensong services at Westminster Abbey and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Of particular interest to me (and maybe you) is the opportunity to see incredible theatre in London. In my last visit, I was incredibly moved by “Come From Away,” the true-story musical about flights that were diverted to Newfoundland. It offers an incredibly uplifting and enlightening take on our last worldwide crisis in September 2001.
The transportation and lodging offered on this trip are top-notch, especially for those departing from Birmingham. Delta Airlines has upped their game in recent years and our 4-star hotel in London couldn’t be more convenient to the London Tube. A tube card with £40 is included to make your travel even easier.
Our hotel, the 4-star Millennium Gloucester Hotel London, is located in stylish Kensington and it is 350 feet from Gloucester Road Tube Station. It is a short walk from the Victoria and Albert Museum. Other famous locations are near; the Natural History Museum, The Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park are just a 10-minute walk away. Fantastic bars and restaurants surround the hotel and the fashionable Knightsbridge district is a short walk away.
Lots of other options for travel are available if you want to branch out, including Harry Potter Studio Tours, side trips to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle, and even a day long trip to Paris.
